Welcome Back

Less than a week away the Republican State Convention commences. It begins on Friday July 11th at Hy-Vee Hall and ends Saturday July 12th. These are the dates that were chosen when Des Moines was inundated by floodwaters at the beginning of June. At that time Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee were supposed to attend the convention as speakers. Well mother nature put that on hold. It appears that Mike Huckabee will still be attending the state convention, but I have yet to hear if Newt was planning on attending it yet.

With his attendance, you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be many establishment type Republicans attacking Mike for a variety of his stances. We will see him attacked in blogs, news articles, and letters to the editor of your local newspapers. They are openly hostile toward Huck and his supporters. You will hear Huck bashing on the radio like it was some kind of sport. You may even be led to think that the caucus is back and that Huck is once again the leader. Once you see all this animosity toward Huck you may think that he is the presumptive nominee instead of John McCain. I look forward to seeing you at the convention. Take care.
