It seems to me though that the same people that were bemoaning any change in leadership prior to the convention are now saying the party no longer represents them. Personally- I want some common sense and some old-fashioned civility to be an important part of this election process. I want those elected with our vote and our trust to make decisions according to our wishes- not what a lobbyist wants or what looks good to the media. I don't want to cause any more animosity between the different factions of the party but a lot of the problem stemmed from the rejection of traditional Republican principles. To me this means more than just social issues, this also includes reducing the size of our government, reducing the tax burdens of Americans, and the promotion of personal responsibility. One thing that I would like understood, however, is that we were never calling for a division in the Republican party. We were just making it known that the social issues cannot be ignored. We weren't trying to divide, we were just trying to be included. All the issues the Republican party stands for are important, but the social issues are the foundation.
