Dear Sarah Palin,

Dear Sarah Palin,
I did not have the honor of being at either of the Campaign Rallies that you did in Iowa on Saturday. I had to rely on Iowa’s Sunday Des Moines Register to get the news of your events. I was reading along to note the large number of enthusiastic supporters who showed up in Sioux City and Des Moines and enjoying the happy photos of your fans and you. Yes, it was a great article until I got to the final three paragraphs. I will share them here. I am pretty certain that you will not be surprised that a positive sounding article would end with negative sentiments.
“There is some evidence that impressions of Palin have slipped in Iowa, even more in recent national polls.
The University of Wisconsin’s Big Ten Poll in Iowa showed that fewer likely voters in the state view Palin favorably than they did last month.
A national Washington Post-ABC News poll published Friday showed Palin’s favorability among likely voters has declined since her national debut at the Republican National Convention in September.”

As a voter who supported Mike Huckabee 100% I should not be shocked at what has happened to you since that night you got on the jet and left Alaska. Mike got a steady stream of mean, negative, and biased reporting. I was dismayed, disappointed, and angry at the negative attention Mike received. I have these same sentiments as I watch you be crucified during this campaign.
I guess the news media continues to think that all voters are so ignorant and bitter that we can not discern a hit job when we see one. With such a steady beat down by the media, Hollywood celebrities, feminists, and Obama campaign/supporters, it is absolutely no wonder that your favorability numbers would take a hit.
About your wardrobe. First of all, you look great in each and every outfit, so I would say that humans being human, some of the nasty coverage is just plain jealousy. And, I am betting that the true story of what you wear and why has never been shared, or if it has, the media would never cover it.
Speaking of spending money, where was the outcry that the price tag to put on the Democratic National Convention was 53 million?!? (Denver Post) I also read that 5.3 million was spent on the phony Greek temple for Obama’s speech. Those were big bucks being spent. I suppose some of that money accounted for the American flags that went into the trash. Nope, not much coverage of such a wasteful amount of spending by the democrats. Makes your wardrobe seem pretty inexpensive. From what I have read you will not be throwing your clothes away in some garbage can. I think it is called recycling and giving to charity.
And the media coverage. You have taken a lot of hits for your interviews with the warm and fuzzy (not!) Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric. Let me tell you, I wanted to knock Gibson’s glasses up a few inches on his nose and I wanted to have a few moments of my own with Ms. Couric. She needs a little lesson on manners and more fair and balanced interviewing.
Writing about the negative press brings me to the recent WFTV, Channel 9 interview with Joe Bidden. Talk about being thin skinned! Ask a tough question to the Obama bunch and all heck breaks loose. Team Obama can dish it out but they can’t take it! Major meltdown.
Sarah, I just voted “Yes” in an on-line poll that you would have a “bright” political future. I will be watching for the good things that come your way. Stand up for yourself and know that you have a great number of supporters who see the fine, good things that you bring to the Republican Party and to the McCain/Palin ticket!
I am hoping that you will be on the Huckabee show on FOX. Mike would treat you with kindness and respect. For one thing, Mike is kind and respectful and for another, he surely has empathy for what you have had to endure at the hands of those who wish you the worst.
Wishing you THE BEST!
A fan in Iowa
P.S. I sadly will not get to vote in this election for Mike Huckabee but you will have my enthusiastic vote!
PALIN IN ’09 (from VP to President!) AND 2012 “legit”
It’s true that Sarah Palin does have the most executive experience
of all the candidates in this election. This experience includes
“spreading the wealth” (see: Alaska’s Windfall Profits Tax),
“abuse of power” (see: Troopergate), “questionable expenditures”
(see: Family travel expenses, hair and wardrobe costs).
But let us not get caught up in the here and now.
Let us journey through the past darkly:
From Lil’ Sarah Palin’s 4th Grade portfolio:
DEMOCRATS = DEMOCRACY
As in “the democratically elected government of…”
REPUBLICANS = REPUBLIC
As in The People’s Republic of China
The People’s Republic of Cuba
I hope to grow up to: Live in a FREE Alaska and marry Joe Vogel,
the leader of the Alaskan Independence Party.
and your point here is???????????????
Today Sarah Palin was in a beautiful pink jacket- from an Alaska consignment shop. Palin looked awesome!
Go, Sarah, Go!
