America’s strength is in its families. Same-sex marriages do not produce these families. It just seems like when the family structure crumbles, the government starts to get its hands in everything. Yes, divorce does lead to a breakdown of the family structure also, but at least the couple got out of the starting blocks on the right foot before the failure of the marriage.

Plain and simple.

Civil Unions need to, and most do, provide these equal rights to people.

Im not going to go crazy-chicken-little on everyone and claim that the world would be horrible if America allowed gays to marry, that was done in the early 1900′s when women where allowed to vote, or in the 1960′s when blacks recieved equal rights and the world did not end.

But I will say that it is a states rights issue, and if it is voted on or against as Proposition 8, the will of the people should be respected. While I am against gay marriage, I am also divorced and have done my part to distory the sanctity of marriage.

They haven’t even toyed with the idea “where does it stop.” It has beeg a way for the left to attack the right……..it’s not about the people.

There seems to me loud voices for any kind of marriage and if we are not strong we will not be heard.

I thought the 70′s “anything goes” was bad enough but the moral decay of these days is even worse.
