It is the grassroots that wants its candidates to be principled and support all the issues set forth in the platform. The elites seem to want to abandon principles for the sake of winning.

Most of the conservatives were ecstatic with her selection while many “elites” looked down upon her.

If the Republican party wants to exist as a viable party, it must look at itself first to determine what is wrong. If it keeps with the elite, it becomes incestuous, its children becoming deformed. We don’t need a royal court deciding who should be in the party.
