In case you haven’t noticed, we have a new addition to IDA. We have had the Wall of Shame for quit some time now for those politicians who decide to disappoint or fool the Iowa voters. We have now added the Conservative Wall of Pride which will showcase those in our party who stand by the principles of the Republican party and go the extra mile for their Iowa constituents.
The two names I would like to add to the Wall of Pride today is Rep. Kent Sorenson and Rep. Chris Hagenow. These two fine conservatives took overnight shifts at the statehouse to keep a watchful eye on the shenanigans of Speaker Murphy and his party while waiting for the voting machine to close on the 50-46 prevailing wage failure. Both of these men gave Twitter updates throughout the night and I would like to share with you the best update given by each of them:
Kent Sorenson……
At 4am Murphy left and a group from the ISU Republicans came to visit.
Chris Hagenow……
Rep. Zirklebach is at the rostrum spitting chew into a styrofoam cup.

Read the bill Simple and to the point. We need more people like this McKinley fellow. who is he and what do you know about him?
Taco, one of our members lives in McKinley’s district and he could tell you more about him. From what I know about him he has proven to be a strong conservative. Also, there are many other states doing this. Many might not know about this because the information has been hidden by the media (surprise, surprise) but there is a wave of states seeing the possible take over of this administration and want to reaffirm their sovereignty.
FYI http://www.fontcraft.com/rod/?p=849
“As things stand right now it looks like Oklahoma, Washington, Hawaii, Missouri, Arizona, New Hampshire, Georgia, California, Michigan and Montana will all definitely consider sovereignty bills this year. They may be joined by Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine and Pennsylvania where legislators have pledged to introduce similar bills.”

We need to make this heard and get support for it to pass.
Grassroots needs to come alive for this bill to get out of committee.
Committee members are listed here.
I’m going to call each and every one in support of this.

Taco,
Paul McKinley is my State Senator and he is now the Senate Minority Leader. He is a very strong conservative. He is a very humble and god fearing man that knows where our state and our country’s strengths lie. He wants to enable Iowans and Americans to succeed without the overly intrusive policies that the left along with some Republicans seem to want to push on us. I hope that this helps. If you would like to know more about him you can check out his Project Vote Smart Page for his voting record.
