“Romney’s team awaits 2012″

Well, well, well… according to a Politico article, Mitt Romney’s team awaits 2012,  Willard  Romney is “tanned, rested, and ready” for another run for the White House. He has dozens of former aids and advisers to assist him.

I take note that it is his “Washington-based alumni” who have regular meetings and he has a Boston based PAC group.

And, least we not forget, Willard Romney has Iowa supporters who are alive and well. Well enough to have a photo of Romney flash up during a slide show at the Night of the Rising Stars event. I have been told that John McCain did not get his shining face in the slide show, but Willard did. Go figure!

According to the Politico article:

Mitt Romney says publicly he’s not considering another presidential campaign, most recently on Sunday during an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” But many of his loyalists expect one and remain at the ready for 2012.

And, a man who ran Romney’s New Hampshire Primary campaign says in the Politico article that “I’m going to be a Mitt guy until he tells me he’s not running for president.”

Here’s some news from a Mike Huckabee supporter. We don’t care if Willard is “tanned, rested, and ready.”

We know that we are “ready” to support our guy Mike. And we know that if Huckabee and Romney DO run for President a battle in Iowa is in the making. It might be the common, ordinary citizens against the high-profile, even elected, Iowa officials. But we are ready and getting more so every day.

Willard’s supporters may meet in “fashionable” locations. That’s fine. Huckabee supporters have an army (Hucks Army), Huck PAC, and we meet in low-key places where we have a lots of fun networking and making our own plans.

And we have Chuck Norris on our side.

Just so you know….  :) .

  1. Huckabee is a drip. What we need in times like these is a business man, like Mitt, to help our economic wows. Romney has the experience and style, Huckabee looks sketchy. In New Hampshire a good amount of our media (liberal propaganda) comes from the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts and under the Romney administration I heard and saw lots of good things (balanced budget, health care, less taxes, etc.).

If we ever want a hope of ousting Osama Obama we need Romney in 2012!

  2. Economic wows is correct!

Mitt might have wowed the state of Massachusetts but he also left the state with MORE wows! (and woes and owes… Romneycare, the Big Dig, for starters) I for one am unsure about how much credibility Romney has acquired by his experience either as governor or business man.

I agree Mitt looks great and rather presidential on the tv screen, but we need to examine his track record carefully. In the last six months we ought to have figured out the disastrous results that occur when voters are taken in by “style.” If not, then we all deserve what we get….. A SECOND TIME AROUND!

  4. Romney and Huckabee are different people? What will you do when one picks the other as a VP. Don’t tell me they won’t. If it serves either of them they will do it.

  5. The only differences between Romney and Obama are that Romney will raise our “fees” instead of taxes, we will have $50 tax payer funded abortions here in the U.S. instead of sending the money abroad for abortions, Romney would allow the courts to instigate gay marriage instead of proclaiming a month for gay pride and sneaking in benefits for same-sex couples like Obama has done, and we would have Romneycare instead of Obamacare.

Yeah, looks like he is the perfect 2012 nominee (eyeroll).

    • Other than abortion and the gay marriage issue, I could see Huckabee doing similar things. Huckabee mandated preventative care (spoke of in the last election), Huckabee demanding raising taxes (as seen before in his governorship). Simply pointing things out for consistency sake.

      • Huckabee instituted the largest tax cut in Arkansas history and the tax raises during his term were court mandated or voter approved and not demanded by the Governor. Also, what’s wrong with preventative care? It would save insurance companies a ton of money and bring the cost of health care down.

        • You are ok with the government mandating preventative care under penalty of fine or jail time?

          I’d rather have freedom.

  6. Bring it on Mittens and Company. Money can’t buy everything.

  7. Romney’s team must be drooling double time over Palin’s announcement to step down from office.
