Some Christmas present from Congress we’re going to be paying for it.

Congress is going to give us a Christmas present this year in the Obamacare health care. Sounds good doesn’t it but theres always the kicker and here it is WE’RE paying for it all. The arrogance of Tom Harkin he said  “Health Care is the best ”Christmas Present” to the Nation. Really?? “You’re giving me a present I don’t want, and making me pay for my own “Gift”? And the bad part is were going to be paying for the gift for 4 years before it we even get it .  I thought when you was given a present you wasn’t handed a bill for it as well.  Boy how generous congress is with our money. And we’re supposed to be thankful were paying for this ? And how unconstitutional is this bill to force us all to take this insurance?

I have already seen health care rationing lately it takes week or 2 to get into the little clinic i go to in a town of 500 people this is amazing to me that i need to wait a couple weeks to get in. Meanwhile if i travel to bigger towns i can get in right away which is what I do. But im always seeing a new doctor because i take who ever can get me in to see me. So i got doctor records strung all over the county down here. If this bill makes doctors all  government employees you will see alot of them just simply quit they won’t want to be told your gonna work loads of hours and only get paid what Obama thinks you should make.

If thousands of doctors quit your waiting time to get in to see one increases and so do the amount of time it takes to see specialist and actually get into surgery. It will be just like in Canada where it could take up to 56 weeks from time you seen your regular doctor to specialist to surgery and don’t forget how much more time before you can get into physical therapy to get that body part strengthened up or just get back to normal. Thanks for the present I think i want to pass on this one but the sad part is its going to hit Americans harder than we think.

Will they put scales in restraunts measure your height and weight. And  if your overweight for your height they will turn you away?  If that happens to be the case unemployment will go up even more as i don’t think there is enough skinny people in this country to keep all restraunts going if such a provision is in the bill. I don’t know whats in the bill at the moment but last i heard its over 2000 pages. This is one case where i want to know what’s in the box before i open it. This is a scary version of Lets Make a Deal where you trade away what you had for whats behind the curtain or whats in the box.

  1. Any self-respecting blogger would find out about a bill before he editorializes about it, not just claim “I don’t know whats in the bill at the moment . . .”

You are just hallucinating here. No new doctors go on the government payroll (“If this bill makes doctors all government employees . . .”). You really are out of touch.

That said, I oppose the Senate bill. I wouldn’t filibuster though. I still believe in majority rule. Do you?

  2. Harkin was on tv this morning saying the payoffs to senators for their votes was small stuff well the small stuff is OUR MONEY you jerk and the so called small stuff is adding up 300 million to Louisianna for her vote 100 million goes to Senator Dodd’s district Millions goes to Ben Nelson of Nebraska all these millions are adding up and would have been a nice start to a actual health care bill but they are spending money we dont have were major league broke. Oh I can’t use that one there’s a different one for me? Why am I less equal for this so called right than
people in Nebraska? and I say so called right because if I don’t participate in this so called right I’m fined or imprisoned or both some right of choice there. Did I miss a change in our constitution?

Huh where i have seen very little about this bill being transparent so is obama a liar then if Joe Wilson can call him one then i am to ! NO i dont believe in that anymore specially when their approval rating is around 20% I for one want a whole new congress throw them all out ! And these morons are not listening to the people in their districts. How do you know they wont make doctors govt employees? They did with Canada and this bill is modeled after theirs.

    • It is not modeled after Canada. You are very poorly informed for a blogger.

  4. You dont get it do you Jerry they spent hundreds of millions of our tax dollars just for some votes and that doesnt offend you it down right pisses me off thats OUR Money. Health care isnt a right and if it is i ought to have the right to refuse it not be fined or jailed and when i get sick its supposed to cover any pre existing illness so why do i need it now ? I got a present for you a $1.5 trillion dollar present oh and heres the bill for it hope you like it.

  5. Typical Harkin BS. This is not a Christmas Present for the American people, it is the death knell of a once great nation. It really doesn’t matter what is in this pile of garbage known as Health Reform, the Democrats approached it with the wrong perception. They approached it with the philosophy that health insurance should be a right in our country. With that I have a fundamental disagreement, health insurance and health care is a service to be purchased by individuals. Every person in this great nation has access to the best medical care in the world, however like all other services we must pay for it. If someone is more interested in having that new SUV or new big screen TV than having health insurance that is their choice and they can reap the consequences. Do not place the burden on those of us that are responsible enough to make the correct decisions in life.

    • Big screen TVs cost $1000 and last many years. But $1000 will get you only a month or two of health insurance. I don’t think anyone could have used their TV money to buy health insurance.

Don’t be so smug about making the right decisions. Many, many people don’t get paid enough to even buy that TV. I know some of them myself. Do you think they can afford doctors? Or do you think they should just “die quickly” and get out of your hair?

  6. Theres way to many out there who believe that they should be able to be treated and not given the bill for all the services that they receive well someone has to pay for it.
Its not a God given right nor is it constitutional right but now its not only my right i cant even refuse the health care if i do i can be fined and imprisoned for up to 5 years. Well they better get to building lots more prisons because there is alot of americans who are more than willing to tell congress where they can stick this bill.

If just a mere 10% of Iowan’s refused it they dont have space for almost 300,000 people in Iowa prisons Fort Madison is over crowded now as it is. I bet When this is all done and crap and tax gets passed you should be real happy Jerry to be able to bring home your pay stub saying you did earn something but the government took it all away.
