It is more than just corporations that are sending our jobs oversees. It is also the consumers continuous search for products that cost less. Hence the rise of Wal Mart.

I have said it before and I will say it again. We need to completely reform our nations archaic tax code. We need to unburden the means of production by eliminating the income tax, the corporate tax, etc. replacing it with a consumption tax.

I agree with your assertion that the trade deficit has been hurting our nation. I have been on the frontlines of that battle having worked in numerous factories over the last 10 to 15 years. In my opinion the best way to tackle that problem is to make our nation more competitive. I know you won’t like to hear this,but we need to cut corporate taxes. We need to provide employers with an incentive to keep those jobs here in America.

If we didn’t have government debt for China to buy with its surplus dollars, they would buy corporate debt– or stock in IBM and GE, or office buildings and shopping centers, or farmland. It’s a lot simpler for them to just buy government debt.

The heart of the problem is that they have all our money. And that’s because our patriotic, profit-seeking corporations sent all our factories to China.

Even when we had a balanced federal budget under Clinton, our balance of trade was in the red. That’s what devalues the money: the constant buying of oil and cheap t-shirts made in other countries while exporting only a little soybeans to try to earn back some of the dollars we spent abroad.

China warned they cant continue to buy our debt we cant continue spending trillions at a whack. But is congress and Obama listening Noooo Obama says we need to stop this spending but the things he is pushing for will only add trillions and with the difficult times we got we dont need to burden the people with billions of new tax burdens this will only tighten the strings of companies and will not help produce jobs what he has done will only cause more jobs to be lost. He is a total moron and has never ran anything he doesnt know what he is doing and any moron knows you cant spend yourself out of debt i sure would like to try if thats the case loan me some trillions !

What will be do when it becomes worthless ? Buy the currency that the world replaces the dollar with. what will our country then use for collateral ? Only thing thats left worth anything is the land hmm who did this Germany in 1933. Our govt is printing money like its monopoly money to cover the spending. When you print trillions and trillions it makes it become worthless. I know one thing Jerry you better have plenty of gold and silver and guns and ammo things will get wild and hairy when it come apart. But By god we got health care which wont be worth a dam when no one can pay for it.

I must disagree with you Jerry. Our money is on the verge of becoming worthless because the corrupt politicians inhabiting the halls of Congress continue to spend our tax money long after it is gone. They no longer have the financial restraint to manage our nations budget wisely. The problem began under Bush, but has only intensified under Obama. We have had bailouts and stimulus that have had no effect other than to increase our national debt. There is no one party at fault in this case, both are guilty of selling our nations future to China. However, it is clearly evident that Obama is selling us out faster than Bush did.

I will admit that is a sticky point. But at the same time the differences in regulation are mainly based on what the the coverage must cover. Which once again brings us to my main contention that the change in the American mentality has been behind the increased cost of health insurance. In fact I think that a fairly simple way to help bring the cost of healthcare down would be to bring health insurance back to what it once was. Coverage for catastrophic health care expenses such as broken bones or heart attacks. For the regular maintenance visits pay for those out of pocket or through a health savings account.

Do you prefer state regulation of insurance or federal regulation? Companies that want to sell in Iowa can do so now if they submit to Iowa regulation. I think they want to make sales without any regulation by “selling across state lines.”

Interesting point about regular maintenance costs.

Our money is in danger of becoming worthless. But that’s not due to govt spending. It’s due to imports. We have let the “free traders” of Wall Street send all our factories to China. Now all our money goes to China to buy radios and tires and steel and pretty much everything. We need our factories back!
