It is inspiring to see a politician like Kent Sorenson who espouses traditional conservative values speak up. In the age of the internet many hide behind fictitious names on blogs and comment away – Sorenson comes right out and tells everyone where he stands and isn’t afraid to attach his name.

It appears that Iowa has a Representative who is willing to lead and is not afraid to let people know what direction he is leading. I applaud your political courage Kent, as it is both rare and refreshing! Best wishes against Appel this fall.

1. Politics has never been Bob VP’s career. He has been in education and a CEO. He has never cashed a paycheck for a vote he made or a law he signed concerning people who elected him to represent them.

2. PRESIDENT Reagan lost twice in the nominating process.

3. Even without everybody knowing Bob’s name right now he beats Culver in a head to head match-up (Rasmussen). Just think what he will do against Culver when he gets the name recognition for knocking off a former governor in the primary.

4. Constitutional experts back his Executive Order. Someone has to have the final authority in the three branches of government and the Iowa Constitution gives it to the governor.

Oh, I see. It was Vander Plaats who failed, it was everyone else. That makes a lot of sense. He lost in the primary, twice, and most Iowans still have no clue who he is, but you think he would have won the general election.

Pure nonsense.

Again, Sorenson’s endorsement makes no sense. He rails against career politicians, but whose been in politics non-stop for the past decade? Vander Plaats.

It’s also odd how those who claim to uphold the constitution are so gung ho to violate it. A governor overstepping his bounds is just as bad as a judiciary.

Where has Bob Vander Plaats failed? It was Republicans who failed in not nominating him in the first place. The people who were at the top of the ticket in 2002 and 2006 lost in the general. The GOP failed. Bob VP will be our nominee this time around and we will take down Culver in the general. It’s Bob VP’s time. Great endorsement.

How do you figure Vander Plaats “isn’t a career politician”???

What has he done since 2001 except be in politics? He is a career FAILED politician. Horrible endorsement.
