Chris Reed and Miller-Meeks have a weak plan at best on all of the issues that matter most to Iowans and to America at large for that matter.

Steve has done his homework and brings nothing but strong solid solutions to the table, this is what we need now in fact we needed this yesterday! I don’t see anything from the other two candidates that is as comprehensive as Steve’s over all well thought out plan. If you would like to read all about Steve and his plan please go to his website http://www.steverathje.com I think you will find more in common with Steve than the other two and furthermore will find a candidate that can actually defeat Loebsack in the general election.

Steve get’s it and he stands firm on the Constitution 100%….

This is what I took from those answers. Although I know that Reed and Meeks are arguing that Roe v Wade is a state issue and not a federal one, which is true. This is why without a Human Life Amendment, overturning Roe v Wade is dangerous.

I would like him to clarify this as well. His pro-life declaration was stated firmly and with no question about where he stood. But then he stuck that on the end, even adding the doctor part as if he had just thought of it – as in, oh yeah, and the doctor also.

We were not allowed to ask any questions, but hopefully, in future forums, this can be clarified.

I’m confused by those responses on abortion. Do Reed and Miller-Meeks think abortion should be legal in any state that wants that? That would include many of the largest-population states.

Rathje’s against abortion under all circumstances, but if he says the decision is between a woman, God and her doctor, that implies that he thinks abortion should be legal if a woman and her doctor agree that it’s the right choice.

Farming is the same as any other business, except that the federal government hands you a huge check if you produce certain crops (and only those crops).

Does Reed really want to get the federal government out of farming? He may not be aware of how many Iowa farmers rely on subsidies.

Great post. You put time and effort into telling us what you experienced first hand. I question the reason MMM gave for not filling out the surveys. I imagine they do take a lot of time to fill out but representing the people takes time, so will she have that to give?

Overturn Roe v Wade and send it back to the states with no Human Life Amendment? Scary stuff. Can someone clarify what Rathje meant when abortion is between God, the mother, and the doctor……….
