Dustin, you've illustrated perfectly the pitchfork mentality of the uber theocrats of the GOP. If it's not in a simple slogan, then they're wishy washy. God forbid we'd have an intellectual discussion.

Tell me, what would be the difference between a tax credit or a check in the mail? Not much. The main difference is that one runs thru the bureaucracy and one doesn't. Economically they have the same effect. Still, the tax credit is better, and that was her point.

Sorry you missed it. Sorry she didn't bang the pitchfork and throw out the red meat. Sorry you can't grasp it if it's not done that way. I don't know what to tell you.

I was watching tv few days ago and a reporter was reporting what the CDC was saying that there was NO none of the seasonal flu types reported this has all been H1N1 . That is total BS pardon my english how the hell do they know when they are not even testing everyone who comes in with the flu and of those i have seen tested less than 2% have had the actual H1N1 virus. Ive known several people who they just were told thats what they had end of story.

[So can anyone explain to me why we are still having any further discussion about government run health care?]

No, Einstein, the government is proposing a public option for health insurance -- not government run health care. And the postal service here in Denver operates fairly well. A private company could never provide the service the Post Office does for what they charge. Of course, the Post Office can't either and they are operating in the red, but that has a lot to do with people using email instead of sending letters.

Right, she says "I would vote against it" followed by all the reasons why it was good. That is what you call a moderate, wishy-washy politician.

I believe Dustin she answered YOU and said she wouldn't vote for it. The point she was trying to make is that in all the stimulus stupidity C for C was the best of the worst, closer to a tax cut than the rest, and since the govt can do this why can't they just go all the way and just give us tax cuts?

So why are you lying?

I have two (at the least) problems with MMM

#1: She was at a small event I attended and spoke of re-electing Grassely (after speaking of limited government). I asked "how did Grassely vote on the first Tarp bailout?" She replied "he voted against it"... Lied right to my face in front of 20 people.

#2: Had this nice discussion with her on her website. She praised Cash for Clunkers, saying it was proof that tax cuts work. Somehow I could not convince her that checks from the government to people who may or may not be paying taxes, is not a tax cut, it is welfare.

I am glad I live in her district, I can happily vote against her again this year.
